Assignment #20 Senior year

B) The best thing about being a senior was how much freedom we had. In the past years i felt as though we were kind of on lock. I also liked the fact that everything was about us this year.

C) The one thing i would go back and tell my freshman self is to stay motivated, not let others actions or words effect what i do and to keep in mind that in the end it’ll all be worth it

D)A major news story that is having a direct impact on me is how Deangelo is everywhere on the news for supposedly having killed his girlfriend. That has been bothering me ever since i found out because i used to be his girlfriend and the fact that that could have been me if i hadnt broken things off between us when i did. That story has made me feel as though now you really just cant trust anyone and you have to be real careful about who you let into your life.

E)A song that reminds me of senior year is”thank you” by chris brown. Just like he mentioned in the song there were some rough patches but in the end everything  worked itself out and i have many people to thank for that.

F)Something i learned that will definitely help me in the future was budgeting. I will never forget that project. Even though it stressed me out to the max i know that that is something i will carry around for life

G) One thing i am especially proud of from this year is how i was able to not let my health problems get in the way of me getting my work done. It stopped me for about a week but once i got through that rough patch i got back on track.

I) the motto for my senior self is “live life to the fullest”

Assingment #20 Junior year

b) The hardest thing about being a junior was the work load. it seemed like everything was just pilled on top of us all at one time throughout the whole year. Also the thought of college and only having one ,ore year left to go was pretty stressful.

C) I dont remember any type of news story that was talked about or made a big deal of.

D) One of the biggest suprises of junior year was how close i got to people i never in a million years expected to get close to.

E)What i remeber learning junior year is basically everything that was taught in chemistry. I remeber how some of the assignments i would look at and think mr. glaser was a complete nut for thinking that stuff was easy and other assignments i really enjoyed learning. Chemistry is whats stuck out to me the most because i think it was probably the hardest class i had and i came out with a really good grade.

F)One thing i am especially proud of from junior year was the Afrohatian performance. i didnt mess up at all and put my full heart into each performance that was done each semester. I’m also proud of the fact that i was able to do a 15 minute dance and not pass out.

G)Just every other year i have saved no work from junior year

H) the motto for my junior self would be “stay true to yourself”

Assignment #20 Sophomore year

B)I would have to say that the biggest difference for me returning to school as a sophomore was my attitude. I didn’t want to be as closed off as i was before and i also didn’t want my personal life to effect me as much as it had the previous year so i tried my best to try and change my attitude towards certain things

C)I have absolutely no recollection of any news stories that happened sophomore year

D) one thing i learned from sophomore year was nothing academic but it certainly had to do with a specific teacher. It was my history teacher. She was really young so she had the attitude of an arrogant teenager and what i learned was how not to let her rude nature get in the way of my focus. She stuck out to me the most because she was the only rude teacher i had ever encountered in life.

E) although this is a bit on the personal side the one thing i am especially proud of from sophomore year was how i was able to get enough support to be able to stop cutting myself and keep it that way.

E) just like freshman year, the moment sophomore year ended was the day i threw everything away so i have no academic artifact to upload.

F) the motto of my sophomore self probably would have been “stay strong and never let anything steal your joy”

i have a very vague memory of anything that went on as far as news is concerned. Something i remember learning my freshman year was geometry. the only thing i learned is that i didn’t learn anything that was taught. I had Mr. Beard. above all i remember his the most because i absolutely hated him and the subject. If i could redo one thing from freshman year i would go back and change the fact that i was so closed in and shy. I have no images of any work that i did freshman year. The day school ended was the day i threw everything away. The motto of my freshman self would have been “keep your head down and don’t look up!”

Assignment 17

Im pretty shocked at some of the things i just read. i feel like all the things listed that students dont even know about their credit cards is done on purpose. i have had a credit card in the past and absolutley hated it. in the near future if it happens to be that i actually need one i’ll deal with it, but until then i just dont need that type of drama in my life

Three facts that stood out to me is how 70% of American college students have credit cards, five of every six of those students do not know their cards’ interest rates, 75% of them do not know their late payment charges and how 90% of students carrying credit cards have monthly debt. this is pretty shocking to know that  that many people who hold cards are in debt

Key Finding

"Of the 70% of surveyed college students who carried credit cards, more than one in three of those young people had two or more cards. About half claimed to use the cards only for emergencies, with 13% saying they used the cards frequently"

Response: I find this too be surprising i dont understand how the amoi=unt of debt is so high if only 13% percent of students use the card frequently and  the rest are for emergencies..unless those emergencies are highly expensive this doesnt really make sense to me

5.. For much of the late 1990s and early 2000s, it held at or below 15 percent.

effects

 1. overall job crisis 2. minorities 3. teens ability to get jobs in adulthood

ways to help

1.Keep minimun wage low 2. get people back to work overall 3. deal with the adults first.

i found this article to be pretty interesting. i feel that is a very good idea for teens to start off young when it comes to having a job. i also agree that teens with jobs will have it a little easier in the future than the ones who didnt have jobs

Assignment 15a

The main points of this are that the prices of gas will not go down even if more drilling was to occur, possible rising of gas prices due to tension in the middle east, and hope that people will be more fuel efficient.

I think this gas situation is one that will never really be salvageable. Its obvious that gas prices arent going down no matter what and people still choose to complain. I honestly think that them raising the taxes on gas isnt going to make people become more fuel efficient…atleast not right away. In my opinion the govornment should stop trying to rely on the hopes that people will be mindful of their driving and try to figure out another way to deal with the high demand for oil
